The Youth Group at First Church is a faith-forming experience, where youth can come and be themselves in a setting that is both comfortable and personal. Comprised of about 40 members, almost nobody in our group attends the same school, yet they have formed great friendships through working towards having a deep relationship with God.
At First Church, we care about youth. That’s why we dedicate our time to middle and high school students and give them the chance for Christian growth through regular Wednesday night study and fellowship programs combined with mission work and overnight retreats.
9:30 am - 10:30 am | 6th–12th Grade
Sunday School meets in the Youth Lounge on the third floor of the Case Building from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. We have a bible lesson and are very open to discussion.
Wednesday night Youth Club begins September 12. The schedule looks like this;
We will be going back to the sign-up for meals. This means every family will have the opportunity to provide parts of the meal each week. You might bring the entrée, the side dishes or the dessert. The children and youth will meet in the east dining room (basement) and enjoy a meal together. Music will consist of more than just singing with opportunities to play instruments and even play musical games! Our bible study is Parables of Jesus for the senior highs and Our Book of Faith for the middle school youth.
Presbyterian Youth Connection (PYC)/Melodrama
At PYC, the youth participate in various activities such as Bible studies, object lessons, watching a movie, doing a mission project or just hanging out and having fun!
PYC is typically held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Youth Lounge or other locations on one Sunday night each month, but from December through March, we are rehearsing and preparing for our annual youth melodrama.
